Plump and Pretty Cosy Colourful Cushions

If you want to lay asleep amidst the flowers for more than acouple of hours then these beautiful flower festooned cushions might be just the thing for you....
 Pink Frilly Cushion

This baby blush pink colour cushion is the sweetest and most girly of all the cushions. It has a pretty little daisy garden of white flowers on each side.

There are two cushions in white. This one has more creamy white wool in it than the other. There is also a slightly shiny pearly look thread running through the cream wool used. There is a pretty little flower garden of pastel pink and blue flowers on each side.
 White Heavenly Cushion
This is the most unusually coloured cushion of all of them. The pink blue and green layers on this side are reveresed on the other, with the green being in the centre and the pink on the outside.I can`t help thinking about the hanging gardens of babylon when i look at it,it is so lush...
 Rainbow Flowery Cushion

This blue cushion is the most loosely crocheted of all the cushions
 Beautiful Blue Cushion

The peach wool used in this cushion is a heavier type of wool not at all like the acrylic blend wools used for all the others. It is a bit like a cotton yarn
 Peachy Cushion

I know i should tag this cushion 'shabby chic' but the 'shabby' bit does not come easy! It has huge bright blooms on both sides in an almost patchwork like style.

 Lacy Edged White cushion

This gorgeous garden flower bed of a cushion shabby chic style  recently sold.

This lovely yellow cushion was unexpectedly tricky to photograph.I think the delicate pale pastel yellow wool used is much prettier in reality.

Hackers

I just logged in to do a lovely post full of lovely new Mollysknitted items. There are half a dozen new pretty cushions now for sale on my Mollysknitted Etsy site and i found all these weird chinese folders in Google docs. What on earth are they?I have no idea and no interest.I have not got the time to translate all this.Hoping publishing it might put them off.

It spoils my lovely blog of lovely handmade items, but not for long! And anyway on an aesthetic level i think the chinese writing is a bit pretty anyway!

Second Part Of Custom Order Of Tea Cosies

The second half of the custom order is mostly made up of repeat items of previously made tea cosies that were sold on Etsy or Ebay. The Rainbow Cake is the only one that will probably never be repeated exactly as it is here.

Cosies similar to the cupcake and white cake are available on Etsy.

Custom Order Of Tea Cosies With Roses

The white tea pot is a small tea pot which just makes two cups of tea.The pink tea pot is a full size, six cups tea pot

All these tea cosies were part of a large custom order for tea cosies with roses on.The photo`s are not that great as the weather was especially filthy at the time and there was hardly any daylight.
Some are 'one off '  never to be repeated items and none are currently for sale.Custom request are welcome though:)

Acrylic and Oil Painted Portraits

An acrylic painting of actor Ben Whishaw on a postcard sized canvas. After painting my way through the myriad petal mazes of half a dozen roses over summer 2012 this painting of the side of a man`s face was areal joy to do.He is a bit more beardy in the photo.

Moody Man Painting .I recently sold this on Ebay.A lot of my painting s are available on Ebay  is currently available on Ebay

Painted this quite a few years ago now.I kept wondering at that time what would a modern witch look like? What would she wear?Pink bat accessories seemed the perfect answer.Mounted on a slightly cowboy hat styled witches hat.Of course it would not be a real dead bat it would be plastic.

Pouty Elvis.Looking for a nice photo of Elvis to paint i was really surprised to find out how bad he was at smiling. The photo i used for this was really blurry but in a good way although i should have given him a thumbnail.Love the colours though.

A lot of my paintings are also available on Folksy, which is the British site for handmade and everything is in pounds, but the listing fees are a bit high so they might not always be on there.

Black and White Acrylic Elvis

I had so much fun painting this Elvis picture.I spent more time doing the gradient effect on the background than i did painting him though!

This painting was a comission,i chose this picture of Elvis as i knew i would enjoy painting the background effect so much and i wanted to play with just adding a touch of colour to the black and white and a little pink to his face to see what would happen.

On reflection i might have lowered Elvis a bit so his head was nearer the centre.A practical adaption i was having too much fun to consider. As a consequence if it was framed you might loose a bit of his iconic quiff, hardly appropriate! But it really does not need framing.
